Lead Dental Hygienist - Thompson River Dental

Thompson River Dental is a full-service dental practice offering general dentistry, cosmetic procedures, laser treatments, professional cleanings, checkups, fillings, and restorations. Led by Dr. Sunny Sangha, we are committed to providing exceptional patient service, continuous learning, and innovative technology. As the sole Dental Hygienist in the practice, you will have the unique opportunity to lead and shape the hygiene department while playing a key role in patient care and practice growth. While you’ll be leading the hygiene department at Thompson River Dental, you’ll also have the support of an incredible and collaborative team at our sister practice, Grasslands Dental Care, so you’ll never feel like you’re doing it alone.

The wage for this Dental Hygienist position is $60/hour depending on skills, experience, and location. 

 

Your Role: 

  • Appropriately assess, plan, implement and evaluate services for patient care  

  • Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants and whitening to patients  

  • Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling  

  • Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations, while consistently maintaining ethical and professional behaviour 

   

About You:  

  • Completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree is required 

  • Current registration as a Dental Hygienist in good standing with the provincial regulatory body is required 

  • Valid CPR certification is required
